Cascade Structural Laminators manufactures CSL TREATED
Glulams using South- ern Pine lamination stock. Southern Pine
is the ideal species for treating, since it doesn’t require incising
to receive the pressure treat wood preservatives that
make it exceptionally resistant to rot and decay.
CSL TREATED is a stock 26F-1.9E glulam beam that is ideal
for exterior, above ground, high-moisture applications such as
decks, porches, and balconies. Engineered with a balanced
lay-up, making CSL TREATED easy to install.
Permapost Hi-Clear II Treatment – CSL TREATED glulams
are pressure-treated with a premium industrial wood preservative
and water-repellent treatment that chemically resists insects, rot, mildew, decay and mold. Permapost Hi-Clear II
has a low toxicity; therefore, CSL TREATED glulams are easy and safe to work with using a few simple precautions.
Cascade recommends that all field trimming, hole drilling or minor surface exposure be resealed with 2% solution copper
naphthenate, which is available at home centers. Permapost Hi-Clear II is the only wood preservative that is approved by
the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in compliance with the EPA for treated wood products. For more information on
